Cook Garden July 21, 2008

Darryl Cook is an orchardist, with acres and acres of apples and pears under cultivation a few miles south of Okanogan. Over the years in his spare time he's transformed the area around his home from riding-mower plain to a delightful mix of trees, shrubs, and perennials that complement his view over the valley below. He says he didn't have a grand plan, just planted things that appealed to him in places that seemed right.
