Okanogan Co., Washington

Okanogan is Washington's largest county in land area, but is predominately rural. Small towns like Tonasket, Omak, Okanogan, and Brewster dot the Okanogan River valley. Winthrop and Twisp lie in the Methow valley. Gardeners here deal with the challenges of a dry east-side climate, short growing season, summer heat, and in some areas large herds of deer.
